She is an Appellate Lawyer licensed by the Egyptian Bar Association (2013), advising clients across the MENA region on trademark protection, IP enforcement, and brand portfolio strategy. With more than eleven years of experience, she is widely recognized for her practical insight and deep regional expertise in navigating complex IP landscapes.
Mona specializes in the full lifecycle of trademark and brand protection, including clearance, filing, prosecution, oppositions, cancellations, and Madrid System filings. Her practice extends to anti-counterfeiting enforcement, where she regularly coordinates customs actions, market raids, and administrative proceedings to protect clients’ brands across multiple jurisdictions.
Her expertise also covers domain name disputes (UDRP/URS), online brand protection, industrial design filings, and advisory work on Geographical Indications (GI) and Plant Variety Rights (PVR/PBR) — areas of growing significance across GCC and North African markets.
In addition to her prosecution and enforcement work, Mona advises on IP audits, due diligence, and the drafting and negotiation of IP-related agreements, including coexistence, licensing, settlement, and assignment agreements. She also supports clients in contentious matters and administrative litigation before trademark offices and enforcement authorities.
Before joining UTMPS, Mona held senior legal positions within major organizations in the aviation, IP, and professional services sectors in Egypt and the GCC, advising multinational and regional clients across a broad range of industries.
