Driss Benmalek

Driss Benmalek serves as Country Manager for United Trademark & Patent Services in Morocco, based in Casablanca, since 2013. With more than 13 years of intellectual property experience, he supports clients in protecting, managing, and enforcing IP rights in Morocco, including before OMPIC (the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property).

Driss advises on end-to-end IP filing and prosecution covering trademarks, patents, designs, copyright, trade secrets, plant variety and breeders’ rights, and geographical indications, as well as portfolio management, renewals, and ongoing rights maintenance.
He also assists with contentious matters, including oppositions and cancellation actions, infringement and validity disputes, anti-counterfeiting initiatives, and online brand protection.

Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Driss is known for a practical, client–focused approach that helps international and regional businesses navigate local procedure efficiently while keeping strategy aligned with broader commercial goals.
